Suitable partner selection in China. With extensive knowledge of the local market and its players we are able to assist in finding the right agent/partner based on a variety or requirements ¨C origin, preferred carriers, rates, handling fee levels, customs clearance or other special services required at origin. On many occasions there are smaller companies at different origins that have great relationships with shipping lines locally and are eager to work for much lower handling fees, but due to their lack of international experience and certain communication problems, overseas companies are reluctant to work with them thus exposing to unnecessary risks. Yet with ACS in the middle communication and operational problems can be easily eliminated.
Key account management and/or one point of contact in China.
One major obstacle to working with a various number of partners in the past was the difficulty in handling bigger accounts with multiple loading points. Having 5 different partners in five different loading ports makes it really hard to coordinate and larger clients do require one point of contact, which cannot be provided as long as several partners at origin are involved. Communication flow and process management. Considering how difficult (and slow) the communication process may be, ACS Global Services can take over the whole communication process in China from the routing order receipt to the sending of the pre-alert, providing daily updates and actual real time feedback.
Sales and business development. Probably the biggest ¡°pains¡± of overseas forwarding agents working with China has always been the lack of pre-paid business and sales support. Coordinating nominated shipment can be more than just communication flow coordination ¨C we can also cover the financial part, thus instead of receiving 30 invoices from 6-7 agents (half of them wrong) you can get one statement and arrange one payment for all the handling fees and ocean freight, leaving us to deal with the local partners.
Tailor made project solutions. ACS can design and provide a full range of logistics services for a specific customer, including specifically planned warehousing and distribution, based on location and cargo requirements.
Additional services. Cargo/loading inspections, ¡°meet and greet¡± visiting clients, insurance, visiting schedule and appointments preparation etc.
Office set-up and personnel training. For those who are planning setting up their own offices in China ACS can assist in terms of: registration process and licensing research, office selection, pre-recruitment (short list suitable candidates for various positions at the new organization), personnel training etc.
General representation. There are also those companies looking for their own representation in China but have a problem finding the right person to employ in China, or consider EUR10 000 + of monthly expenses for supporting own office too high of a cost.
